I picked up this tool set today because I have had some DIY projects in mind for months and was tired of borrowing tools from family. All of the tools included are of good quality and feel quite sturdy, as soon as I got home with them I charged the batteries and began a shelving project for a bedroom. The circular saw cut through nice 1″× 6″ lumber, the drill has a nice amount of power and effortlessly drilled pilot holes and drove various screws. Shelving project was quick and easy, thanks to this great set. The price was unbeatable, most other tools in this price range and below aren’t the same value as these, and all above for the same tools are too expensive for a DIY’er or home owner. All tools perform well. Tools are very light and easy to handle, compared to other brands. They are well built. I also have the impact driver. The one thing that is different than other model Porter Cable tools, is the tools do not have a battery indicator light to how much of a charge the battery still has. Not that big of a deal, but a nice feature. You get what you pay for. The saw performs well in simple cuts of 2 x 4’s. The reciporcating saw works great. The charger is ok. The drill driver works well. Overall great value for the price of the combo kit. I used the tools to build this swing. The two batteries lasted for the entire project. I would recommend these tools for the DIY projects around the house. This is a pretty good set of tools. I wish the light was a tool instead, most everyone had a flash light I would think. This was actually a replacement since the saw went out on me while using it in the middle of nowhere. The only bad thing is the kit was a little different compared to the old one. The saw before used a 6.5″ and this new one I think is a 5.75″. Maybe that is what caused the problem. Still a pretty good set since we used it pretty hard up to the point it gave up.
