Rare set of Ping ISI BeNi Nickel Black Dot irons 4-9 professionally restored. The shafts are True Temper AMT R300 black (regular) standard length and the grips are Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360. I generally don’t add ferrules on my ISI builds but these matched up so well I had to. I included some before pics so you could see the original condition, I do a cleaning, 4 separate polishing phases, I do 3 coats of paint and then of course sharpen grooves. Then I attach shafts and new grips. Production date on heads Jan’98 AMT Black is the middle weight option in the new AMT range and delivers a mid-high trajectory and spin. Featuring Ascending Mass Technology, AMT Black gets progressively heavier as golfers move from their long irons to short irons. This allows for increased speed and launch from the lightweight long irons and superior control and precision from the midweight scoring clubs. AMT Black ascends in 3-gram increments throughout the set from 4-iron through wedge and is perfect for the player that loves the idea of AMT Key Features of the Ping ISI Nickel Material & Feel: Beryllium Nickel offers a very soft feel on center strikes but is actually a harder overall compound than the stainless steel version Design: The cavity incorporates “finger projections” (often described as spiderwebs) designed to reduce harsh vibrations and redistribute weight to the perimeter for max forgiveness. Color Code System: Like many classic Ping sets, the ISI models utilize a colored dot system e. Black, Green, Blue, Red to denote the specific lie angle (standard, upright, or flat). Collectibility: Because these clubs can no longer be manufactured using this exact material, they have become sought-after collector’s items in the golf community.
